A town that's still partly farmland
Andover started in 1857 as Round Lake Township, was renamed Grow Township in 1860, and took the name Andover after the train station once the village organized. It's grown into a mid-size Anoka County suburb, but a meaningful part of the city is still held under Rural Reserve Residential zoning, large-lot land with active sod and vegetable farming rather than subdivision streets. That mix is part of what makes the roofing work here different from a straight suburb.
Bigger roofs, more room to stage
On the rural-lot side of Andover, houses tend to come with more roof, longer driveways, and outbuildings, machine sheds, pole barns, detached garages, that need the same attention as the house itself when hail or wind comes through.
